I have a splawn QR that is not sounding so good with my Mesa OS 4x12 with V30's. But the Mesa cab sounds Killer with my SE.
So I was considering trading the speakers in the Mesa with GB's or Splawn Small Block 25s (based on GB's).
Just wondering if I will lose something that I have now with the SE / Mesa V30 setup?
I now Engl now has the Pro cab with Celestion GB reissues, so wondering if someone was using one with an SE or powerball...
Thoughts? |

I have Greenback 4x12 with Savage and never played another cab like it. I love this cab _________________ Engl till death |

| Thanks for the reply Engllover. Ever use a V30 cab with the Savage? How does the tones compare? |

I've used a powerball with the V30 cab for around 3 years. It was awesome until I decided to try some other cabs.
I needed something slightly smaller to make easier to move around as I was on the road a bit and didn't have the luxury of having a roadie.
I bought a bogner 2x12 open backed cab with 1 G12M and 1 G12H speaker...sounds awesome. Almost as big as a the 4 x 12 but with heaps more clarity especially in the mids. For me the 4x12 was always a 'dark' sounding cab. |

played Mesa v30 through it, Greenback is way better. I can imagine the V30's and Greenbacks sounding well together _________________ Engl till death |
