I'm hoping someone with some MIDI knowledge can shed some light on my problem.

I've got a Screamer being controlled by a Boss GT10, via the Z-11.

It has been easy to set up the GT10 and Z-11 so that when I change patches on the GT10, the Z-11 makes the appropriate changes on the amp (e.g. channel switching, VLS on/off).

However, does anyone know if it you can send MIDI CC messages to the Z-11 to make changes to the amp?

For example, I choose a patch on the GT10 that triggers the Z-11 to switch the amp to 'hi gain, reverb off, VLS off', but then I can stomp on one of the GT10 control pedals to turn the VLS on.

The GT10 manual states that the control pedals can be programmed (per patch) to send MIDI CC messages, but I don't understand what I need to send to the Z-11 to make it switch settings on the amp.

Perhaps this isn't possible?

Any assistance/suggestions would be most welcome.

I believe the Z11 does not respond to CC messages.

Found this in the manual:

You also have the option of selective access via 8 POLY channels or comprehensive
transmission of MIDI Program Change commands 0 to 100 via OMNI Mode



so OMNI mode gets you added features.
Comprehensive Transmission sounds like Continuous Controller changes to me...
